Driving smart adoption of alternative fueled vehicles

Since 2017, we have supported multiple nationwide analytics efforts for the U.S. Department of Energy and National Laboratories. The work we have conducted with our trusted partners provides highly impactful, publicly available information to drive smart adoption of alternative fueled vehicles. Our real-world data provides stakeholders with lessons learned and best practices, providing invaluable insight to stakeholders across all industries. Currently, we are working on a project to build the largest North American EV data set.

EV Suitability

The Federal Government and National Labs have tapped us to help fleets develop data-driven electrification plans. These analyses have supported the fleets directly and the lessons learned have been shared publicly so that fleets everywhere can benefit from this knowledge.

EVSE Load

Our analytics use your operational data to project your vehicle-by-vehicle charging load and aggregates that data to show you how EV charging will impact your peak demand at each facility, each day of the year. This allows you to plan EVSE with purpose and implement strategies to avoid demand charges.

Nationwide Data

The rapid growth in EVs is driving questions about how EVs are being used and how to support continued adoption. Working with partners, we are supporting a national effort to collect data on EVs in the wild to provide insight across models and use cases, and to foster innovation to support EV adoption.

The National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL) provides technical and analytical support to the U.S. Department of Energy’s alternative fuel programs, including the State and Alternative Fuel Provider Fleet Program. Through the program, the U.S. Department of Energy implements regulations pursuant to the Energy Policy Act of 1992 (EPAct), as amended, which requires state and alternative fuel provider fleets to acquire alternative fuel vehicles and requires alternative fuel providers to use alternative fuels in those vehicles where the fuel is available.

Testimonials

  • We are excited to be working with Sawatch Labs to offer our fleets an easy way to start their electrification transition. Sawatch's EV suitability assessments are by far the most detailed we have found, all with a fast turnaround time. Utilizing ezEV and ezIO early on can save time and trouble for fleet operators, and we couldn’t recommend Sawatch highly enough.
